Free Soccer Goal Plans
Step 1 - Obtain Materials as listed below
(5) Ten-foot 1" PVC pipes (Note: you may use 2" for
greater stiffness)
(6) Elbows
(2) Tees
PVC Cement and Primer (small cans)
11 feet of 10-foot wide 5-inch square fishing net available
at a local net supply store or online for about $1.50 per foot

THIS MATERIAL LIST FOR TWO GOALS
Step 2 - Cut PVC Pipe into the
lengths given below. A hack saw will work for this.
(6) Five-foot pieces
(2) 56 3/4" pieces
(1) 85 3/4" piece
See Figure 1 below

Step 3 - Construct base
Dry fit pieces but do not glue yet. This will consist of two
56 3/4" pieces on the sides with elbows on each side and two 60"
pieces in the back connected with elbows and a tee. DO NOT
GLUE YET! See Figure 2.

Step 4 - Dry fit other pieces together - DO
NOT GLUE YET! The long piece runs diagonally and has two tees
connected to it. The other 4 pieces are 5-feet pieces and are
assembled as shown in Figure 3.

Step 5 - Attach Net
Cut net in half so you have 2 pieces about
11-feet long. Place each piece over the back of the goal and then
start at one top corner and thread the PVC pipe through the net.
Note that you will have to remove the pipe from the elbows or tees,
one pipe at a time, and reconnect each pipe after it is threaded.
An alternative to this process would be to purchase plastic wire
hold-downs used to secure electrical wires. Cut off excess
netting when finished

Step 6 - Glue Pipe
Glue pipe together with PVC cement if
desired, removing one joint at a time and gluing with the net still
in place. Note that the 1-inch pipe will fall out of the
elbows and tees occasionally if not glued. The larger PVC pipe
will do better. An unglued goal may be disassembled and stored.
